Experts for cyber security

Klaus Wunder

Klaus Wunder began his career as a network and security administrator in the time before EDR, when security was still characterized by routers with access lists, the first UTMs and spam filters and proxy servers were mainly used for caching. This foundation gave him both technical depth and the ability to adapt to the rapidly evolving cybersecurity landscape.

Today, as a Principal Cyber Defense Analyst and OFFSEC-certified instructor, Klaus combines his practical experience from the front row with a passion for teaching. His analyst role encompasses incident response, threat hunting, detection engineering and threat research, while as an instructor he translates this real-world experience into hands-on training.

For Klaus, cybersecurity has always meant more than just defending systems – it’s about lifelong learning and he brings this learning spirit to every one of his training courses.

At Klaus, students don’t just learn “about” security – they learn to live security. His workshops are designed to sharpen critical thinking, build practical skills and strengthen self-confidence – by combining offensive and defensive perspectives.

He teaches in the areas of security operations, defensive analysis, incident response and threat hunting and brings practical expertise and current knowledge to the classroom.

Johannes Schönborn

Johannes Schönborn discovered cybersecurity at an early age: as a teenager, he organized LAN parties with over 200 participants. One evening, an attack paralyzed the entire network – a key moment. Since then, his focus has been on offensive security. Today, Johannes specializes in penetration testing, secure software development and security operations centers (SOC). He is a certified OffSec trainer and teaches in a practical way how attackers think – and how to prepare effectively for exams.

His expertise is internationally anchored: Johannes is a member of the Red Team Special Interest Group of FIRST, is involved in OWASP and was part of the ENISA Workgroup on Threat Landscapes for several years. In parallel to his work as a trainer, he is researching the automation of penetration tests with artificial intelligence as part of his PhD studies – with the aim of taking offensive security to the next level
